Collaborate

Relationships are central to PR and marketing – client and agency/ buyers and producers/ press and agency/ agency to agency/ related organisations and regional bodies. It is all about working together to achieve the best results. We work closely with organisations, charities other marketing agencies – this part is fun and it also helps to spread the word about a brand through productive collaboration.

The Guild of Fine Food exists to support the speciality food and drink sector and we recommend clients to join as a member – to benefit from their expertise. This is a group of people that really understand the challenges of speciality food producers, retailers, distributors. They provide support, guidance and expertise. The team is also responsible for shows such as Harrogate Speciality Food Show and they run the ‘oscars of food and drink’ – the Great Taste Awards and specifically for cheese – The World Cheese Awards. Every month you can benefit from their wisdom with a read of Fine Food Digest. www.finefoodworld.co.uk

Other food and drink agencies are important to our offering as they provide diversity, extended skills and the chance to work collaboratively across brands. We work with a few around the UK and hope that this means we add even more to what we can do. We are always open-minded to working with other agencies as we feel that it can only add to our ability to deliver a broad range of skills to our clients. A few to mention – RandR PR – specialist drinks PR agency, The Food Awards Company– focus on food awards and events, The Food Marketing Expert – provide business development/ sales support, Flying Fork – business development support in independent retail sector, Pritchard Foods – business development support with the multiples. Design and creative agencies – Hurricane, Visual Works and Paton Tupper. Online agencies – Lighthouse, Visual Works and Paton Tupper plus social media agency, Brilliant Social Media. We also work with a strategy agency that extends beyond marketing into finance, operations etc…Gill Harris James. A skill that is often needed is good food photography and we work with a few in different parts of the country. In addition to this – we will work alongside whoever a client may already have in place and hopefully from this develop new relationships…These are just a few of the people that we work with – at the moment…

Organisations and Charities that work in the food sector can play an important part in creating profile and awareness for your brand. This maybe through charitable relationships, product donation to events featuring top UK chefs, simply giving them your time. The more places that your products are seen and the more that they are used by the right people – the more people will begin to understand and recognise them. It is, as with all PR/ marketing, about focusing on the right relationships. A few of the people we work with – Action Against Hunger, Hospitality Action, Craft Guild of Chefs…
